Privacy notice

Math Culture is run by Arts Culture Pte. Ltd., Singapore. Last updated 25 October 2026.

In short: a parent owns the account and decides what their children use. We collect as little about children as we can: a nickname, their level and their learning progress. We never show ads, never sell data, and the AI service we use does not train its models on what children type.

What we collect

About the parentEmail address or mobile number (to sign in and send login codes); your name if you give it; your name and signature when you accept the subscription terms; your plan and payment status. Card payments are handled by HitPay; we only keep the card brand and last 4 digits, never the full number.
About each childA first name or nickname, Primary level, chosen buddy, an optional 4-digit PIN (stored scrambled, never in plain form), and learning progress: questions answered, mastery scores, papers, practice days and minutes, and settings such as voice and music.
Buddy chatsWhen a child asks their buddy for help, we keep the question, the child's message and the buddy's reply so you can read them in the Parent area. These are deleted after 90 days.
Devices and securityDevice name, browser type, IP address and sign-in times, to keep accounts secure and enforce the device limit.

We do not ask for a child's full name, school, photo, voice recording, location, email address or phone number.

How we use it

We do not use children's data for advertising or marketing profiles, and we do not sell personal data.

Companies that help us

RailwayHosts the app and database, in Singapore.
Anthropic (Claude)Powers the AI buddy and fresh word problems. We send the maths question, the worked steps, the child's message and nickname. Anthropic's commercial terms say it does not train its models on content from customers of its paid services. Processing may take place outside Singapore.
Microsoft AzureTurns question text into the Singapore-English reading voice. Only the question text is sent.
HitPayProcesses subscription payments.
ResendSends emails such as login codes and weekly reports.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

Children

Math Culture is made for primary school children to use under a parent's account. The parent creates each child's profile and gives consent on the child's behalf. Children cannot message other users, and there is nothing public in the app.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). PINs and login codes are stored scrambled (hashed). Only the account owner can see their family's data, and staff access is limited to running and supporting the service.
